When it comes to designing cities, how have we done it? We don’t, we don’t design cities, we design blocks or area’s the size of a particular piece of property, land, a city block etc.. We design within a given area of property and that gets added to the other property area’s around it and it all ends up being a bunch of idea’s by to many people, to many design firms and a whole lot of people. Than we build a building to fill that particular piece of property, along with all the others doing the same thing, NOT thinking of the over all feel of what the city should be or could be. It’s only designed to maximize costs, profits. They don’t care about the rest of the city or the environment around that certain area of the city or property which is owned by someone else. This is happening all over the world right now. The only ones who have done it differently is Singapore.
